The Ballet Clinic is now offering a new program for dancers ages 18-22! We have designed a new program for dancers ages who are looking to launch into a professional career in ballet. This 3 month program will help dancers fix issues that might be holding them back, helping them through the audition process, and pushing them to their full potential. Our graduate program is based on our success with older dancers who have needed that extra push towards audition season. These three months are going to be rigorous and exhausting as dancers are going to be expected to take a lot of responsibility for their eating habits, workouts, and cross-training.
The program will take place September 11, 2023- December 15, 2023. Dancers will be dancing Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM - Noon and Saturdays from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. (Hopefully, if you need to find a part-time job, you will have time.) You are expected to hit the gym, yoga, pilates, and P.T. on your own time. During these five months you will be coached on technique, artistry, and performance quality. You will be guided on audition season, and you will film your audition video, pick your variations, work on a contemporary piece, take your company photos, and prepare your resume. This new program does not guarantee you a job, but the hopes that you will find placement between January-March. The financial expectation during audition season is extremely high due to travel and scheduling of auditions, which is why this program is only going to be three months. Also, don’t pay for tuition when you are not going to be here. The cost of tuition for this program will be $3,900. This includes standard audition photos, company audition photos, company audition video, and video of variations. (Space is limited to 12 dancers.) Now, the big question on everyone’s mind, “Where do you go after the program is over?” You could head back to your home studio, go take open classes around the US, or find a secondary training program. We are working hard with A Ballet Education partner schools to find places for you to dance at a reasonable price. To audition for this program, please submit a video including barre and center on pointe, a classical variation and contemporary video. Please submit your resume as well. |
